Mulder discovers a photograph featuring Arthur Dales, a baseball team, and an alien bounty hunter, leading him to Dales' residence for answers. Upon arrival, he encounters Dales' brother, also named Arthur, who recounts a captivating story from the 1940s about Josh Exley, a Roswell-based Negro baseball player on the brink of breaking professional records. Dales' role was to safeguard Exley from the KKK, only to find out that Exley was hiding an extraterrestrial secret - he was indeed an alien.
